Custom-made pressure garments for burn scars, surgical scars & hypertrophic scarring.
Pressure-garment therapy is the gold standard for scar maturation after burns and surgery. We design and fit Juzo ScarComfort flat-knit garments — built in Germany, fitted by certified specialists in Dubai, for adults and children. From hospital discharge to scar maturation, we walk the journey with you.

The right pressure on the right place — for every day of scar maturation.
Hypertrophic scars and keloids form when the body produces too much collagen during healing. Sustained, even compression — applied early and worn consistently — reorients collagen fibres, reduces blood flow to the scar bed, and helps the scar mature flatter, softer, and lighter in colour. The garment that delivers this pressure must fit precisely. Generic sleeves and ready-made sizes can't.
Even pressure across the scar bed
Hypertrophic scars don't form in standard shapes. Custom Juzo ScarComfort garments are measured at multiple points to ensure pressure stays therapeutic across the entire scar area — not just where the body matches an "average."
Comfort for 23 hours a day
Scar pressure therapy works because the garment is worn almost continuously. Juzo ScarComfort Fine has the soft side facing the skin and seams outward — a small detail that makes 23-hour wear actually possible.
Built around your body and the scar
Custom doesn't mean just sleeves. We make face masks, gloves with finger spreaders, full bodysuits, thoracic garments, and limb segments — for every body area scars affect, including head, neck, and hands.
Adjustable for children's growth
Children's bodies change. We track growth and remeasure regularly so the garment continues delivering therapeutic pressure as the child grows. Many adjustments can be done at our clinic via Juzo's repair and alteration service.
Different scars. Different therapy. Same precision.
Burn scars, surgical scars, and keloids each behave differently — but all benefit from sustained, well-fitted compression. Understanding which type you or your child has helps determine when to start, what pressure to use, and how long therapy continues.
What is a hypertrophic burn scar?
After a deep burn, the skin heals by producing new collagen — but in burns that take more than two to three weeks to heal, the body often produces too much. The result is a raised, red, itchy, sometimes painful scar that can contract, restrict movement, and remain active for 12 to 24 months.
Compression therapy applied early — typically within 2 weeks of complete wound closure — is the most evidence-based intervention for hypertrophic burn scarring. The pressure reduces blood flow to the active scar, helps reorient collagen fibres, and accelerates the scar's progression toward maturity.
In the UAE, burn injuries are most commonly seen from scalds (especially in young children), flame burns, and chemical or electrical exposures. Hospitals like SSMC, STMC, and Al Jalila Children's run dedicated burn programmes — Healfit provides the compression component of post-burn rehabilitation.
How custom Juzo garments treat burn scars
The Juzo ScarComfort range uses soft flat-knit fabric specifically engineered for scar therapy. The garment maintains therapeutic pressure (20–32 mmHg) while remaining comfortable enough for the near-continuous wear that burn scars require. For severe scars, garments can be combined with Juzo Silon®-TEX silicone inserts or Juzo ScarPad patches for direct silicone contact.
Burn scar therapy timeline
Wound healing. Compression begins only after complete re-epithelialisation. Light bandaging and dressings before this stage.
Pressure therapy begins. First custom Juzo ScarComfort garment fitted. Worn 23 hours a day.
Peak scar activity. Most hypertrophic scarring develops here. Compression is non-negotiable. Silicone often added.
Scar maturation. Therapy continues until scar is mature — flat, pale, soft. Garments tapered gradually under clinical guidance.
Pressure therapy works because it's timed correctly.
Compression is not a "wear it whenever" treatment. The therapeutic window for hypertrophic scarring opens at wound closure and runs through scar maturation — typically 12 to 24 months. Starting on time and continuing consistently is what makes the difference.
Wound healing
Re-epithelialisation in progress. No compression yet — only dressings and wound care directed by your surgical team.
Therapy begins
Once the wound is fully closed, the custom garment is fitted. Worn 23 hours a day, removed only for hygiene.
Peak activity
The most aggressive scar phase. Compliance is critical here. Silicone inserts (Silon®-TEX, ScarPad) often added.
Maturation
Scar becomes flat, pale, soft. Therapy gradually tapered under clinical review. Final outcome locks in.
Three fabrics. One precisely matched to the scar — and to you.
All three are made-to-measure flat-knit garments engineered specifically for scar management. Your fitter will recommend the right one based on scar location, skin condition, age, and lifestyle.

Two compression levels. One chosen by your physician.
Scar therapy uses lower compression than lymphedema. Too much pressure can damage healing tissue; too little is ineffective. Juzo offers two pressure levels for scar management, both designed specifically for this clinical context.

Meet Julius — scar therapy with a friend.
Compression therapy for children is one of the hardest jobs in clinical rehabilitation. A child who refuses to wear the garment is a child whose scar doesn't mature properly. Juzo developed the Julius concept — a friendly hippo character, books, iron-on patches, and a structured journey — to transform therapy from something scary into something a child can engage with. Healfit is bringing the Julius concept to our Dubai clinic.
Julius the little helper
Julius is a green hippo character who accompanies children through scar therapy — from their first hospital visit to the day the last garment comes off. The concept includes a cuddly toy given to the child at the start of therapy, illustrated children's books that explain the journey, colourful iron-on patches that personalise their garment, and coloured pencils with colouring pages.
For children, the garment stops being "a medical thing" and starts being "Julius's special suit." For parents, it makes daily compliance dramatically easier.
For teenagers, Juzo's newer "Motifs to Inspire" range includes cooler iron-on patches: Music, Game On, Goal, Peace, Rainbow, Flower Power, Message, Love.
Cuddly Julius
Given to the child at the start of therapy. Their compression buddy.
Story books
Three illustrated adventures that help children understand their therapy.
Iron-on patches
13 characters + 8 teen motifs. Personalise the garment. Make it theirs.
Kids corner (coming soon)
A dedicated Julius children's corner is planned for our Business Bay clinic.
Special features for paediatric scar garments
Beyond the Julius concept itself, the Juzo ScarComfort range includes child-specific options not available in lymphedema garments:
- Silicone palm coating in playful patterns (smiley face, dots, lines)
- Diaper-friendly gusset designs (sized from 20–39 cm, adjustable)
- Julius zipper extensions on bodysuits — easier for small hands
- Finger spreaders (up to 3 extensions) for hand burn contractures
- Bright colours: Pink, Mint, Blue (so it's not "hospital beige")
Every body area scars affect. Every garment type.
Scars form anywhere — from a single finger to the whole torso or face. We make custom ScarComfort garments for every area Juzo manufactures, for adults and children alike.
