Compression pressure — ankle to upper limb

18–21 mmHg

CCL 1 · Mild

23–32 mmHg

CCL 2 · Moderate

34–46 mmHg

CCL 3 · Strong

> 49 mmHg

CCL 4 · Very Strong

Pressure is highest at the ankle or wrist and decreases upward toward the heart — this graduated effect supports circulation and reduces swelling.

What is medical compression?

Medical compression garments apply graduated pressure, strongest at the ankle or wrist, decreasing upward. This supports circulation, reduces swelling, and promotes healing.

The level of compression is measured in mmHg (millimetres of mercury) and divided into 4 classes: from mild daily support to clinical-grade therapy for complex conditions.

Juzo compression garments guarantee correct pressure values and a well-defined pressure gradient verified to RAL quality standards — the most rigorous certification in the industry.

The right compression class depends on your condition, symptoms, and whether the garment has been prescribed by a doctor. If you're unsure, our certified specialists can guide you.

Getting measured

How to get the right fit

The most important factor in compression therapy effectiveness is correct sizing.

01

Measure in the morning

Limb circumference is smallest in the morning before swelling accumulates. Always measure before getting out of bed or within 1 hour of waking.

02

Use a medical tape

Use a flexible measuring tape at the correct anatomical points — ankle, calf, knee, and thigh for legs; wrist, forearm, elbow, and upper arm for sleeves.

03

Book a professional fitting

For custom or CCL 3–4 garments, always have measurements taken by a certified specialist. Our team can fit you in-clinic, at home, or via video consultation.
