110 years of German compression engineering — now in the UAE.

In 1912, in the small Bavarian town of Aichach, a master craftsman named Julius Zorn founded a workshop that would change the field of medical compression forever. Zorn was not a doctor or an engineer — he was a skilled tradesman who understood textiles and recognised their potential to heal.

Over the decades, what began as a small family workshop grew into one of the world’s most respected medical-device manufacturers. Today Juzo remains family-owned, still headquartered in Aichach, still committed to the principles Julius Zorn established over a century ago: precision, quality and patient wellbeing.

In the 1960s, Juzo pioneered flat-knit compression technology — a manufacturing process that lets garments be tailored stitch by stitch to match a patient’s unique anatomy. For the first time, custom compression became accessible to patients with severe lymphedema, complex limb shapes or post-surgical needs.

By 1985, Juzo was instrumental in establishing the Medical Compression Quality Association and the RAL quality standard — the certification system still used globally to verify compression classes CCL 1 through CCL 4.

Today Juzo garments are trusted by healthcare systems in over 50 countries, prescribed by lymphedema therapists, vascular surgeons and phlebologists worldwide. Every garment is manufactured in Germany under strict ISO 13485 quality controls — never outsourced to low-cost facilities.

In 2024, Healfit became the official Juzo Germany distributor for the UAE and GCC — not just a reseller, but a clinical partner bringing Juzo’s century of expertise direct to patients and professionals across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider region.
